NBA 2K12 Association

Just a run down of how online associations work on 2k12, because they arent as manageable as you would think. (for anyone wondering)

The commissioner creates the league and sets a sim style (fast/normal/slow etc). I believe normal is 6 hours.

Most people see this and freak out, but its not a big deal. It advanced one LEAGUE DAY every 6 hours, not one game.

Your first game may be on the 9th of the month, so it would take nearly 2 and a half days before your game would even be simmed.

Also, you can typically play at least 3 games in advance.

Trades take a bit of time to go through as well, and if vetoed they sit in arbitration forever.

Just figured I would break that down because when I first joined a league it was very confusing as to the way it advanced.

Its not too complicated. The thing that throws most people off is in other online leagues (madden and whatnot)...the commish can advance at will, but in 2k12 it is all time advanced. This freaks people out because the time is between 4-12 hours I believe, so they assume all of their games are going to be simmed in that time, but its for league day instead of simply your games available.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a PS3 if I can find one for under $200 and with 2K12 bundled. It seems like almost everyone is playing PS3 now. Even people that I know...
