    Krewe of New Orleans and Knights of New Orleans sound OK, but as an officially licensed team name, just no for me. A little too much reaching to be unique right there to the point of being slightly weird.

    However, those terms could certainly be used casually with those brands, sure. For instance with a PA announcer announcing a starting lineup: "Now the starting lineups for your...KREWE OF NEW ORLEANS!!!!" That'd be a nice touch.

    thanks for doing this....and I totally agree with you that although our licensed name would likely be New Olreans Krewe, it flows so much better from the other direction....however, I sincerely feel that Knights works very well either way and I was pretty much blown away with the number of ways Knights is already directly associated with both the city and Carnival...

    So UKP and Downman, you would call "Saints" non-generic? It has its unique connection, but the name is as generic and simple as you can really get. What's your justification there?
