Things D. West did that won't show up on a box score

The man shows toughness and stands behind his team 100%... lucky for Larry Sanders, West was legitimately being held back. Someone needs to let Sanders know how D. West spent his offseasons...

I love D West, my favorite Hornet of all time BY FAR. Season ticket holder (split 2 with my bro) and I drive in for one game all year, the Pacers game. I admit, I almost shed a tear on his tribute video. After next year, when we are contenders, I hope he returns and gets himself a championship.

i like how near the end, Sanders can clearly get to West and lets his buddy act like he's holding him back to seem tough... he knew a mean left hook was waiting for him

Someone on Twitter (I think it was one of The Basketball Jones guys) made a comment on how fighting David West would be like fighting a 6'10" Ironman. Despite how funny it is, I definitely agree with it hahah

    Edit - Found it:
@talkhoops David West has to be one of the least fightable dudes in the league. It'd be like fighting a 6'10" steelworker.

I miss West too. He's doing ok in Indiana. He doesn't have to do as much as he did here. Great signing by the Pacers.

Emeka Okafor - Joe Smith - Carmelo Anthony - Manu Ginobili - Jason Williams

Al Jefferson - James Posey - Aaron McKie - Shaun Livingston

Sanders suspended 2 games without pay and West and Granger each fined $25K.

I don't miss the lack of defense. I do miss all the clutch shots.

Ditto. He did start to get it together when Monty took over, though. Which, really, is more of a testament to Monty because, hey, if you can get DWest to play some defense, then you deserve a freaking medal.

I agree. He played strong defense last season. His defensive rating was 104 which was tied with Ariza and only behind Okafor at 102 and Paul at 103.

Not mad that D.west is gone ... Great player while with us. But it was time for us to move on. However, d-west isn't a guy I wouldn't want to fight. Sanders would have loss badly in a fist fight with dwest
Dell Demps PLEASE get us some scorers!

Alright, theoretical super-hero fight theory-thing time: Is there anyone currently playing in the league that could take on West in a fight?

    Was being facetious!
Was referring to how he has recently shown off his muscles after being fouled and still making the basket.

I can only think of this....I would just love to see Delonte challenge him over exclusive rights of the last name....they would be peeling tats off the floor for a week!
