    Rebrand the Hornets as "The New Orleans Bounce". Who's with me?

    Ok, so now that Benson has bought the Hornets I am fairly sure we're about to get a re-branding. Now since we can't get the Jazz back from Utah, and all the other ideas just sound kitchy and lame, why not try out "The Bounce"? It has a double meaning in that it references both the bounce of a basketball and the popular style of New Orleans hip hop. I also think that playing bounce music at halftime would greatly improve the honey bee's (or whatever they would be called) performances. So, who's with me?

    Please anything but bounce. Ima guy and i enjoy females dancing to it lol, but i NEVER been a fan of the music. Also the Pistols, Pelicans and Hurricans are classless and and bad names. We need something professional and accepting from all sorts of groups of society so we wont be made a joke out of the media.

    I don't understand what you guys hate so much. I'm not suggesting that we name the team the bounce soley to reference the music. Many things can be taken from that name. It's clever and much more so than all those expected names like the pelicans, or the brass. I don't know about you all but personally, I would prefer not having a super obvious name for the team. The way most of you seem to think were gonna wind up being named the new orleans new orleanians...

    Bounce has too much of that made up movie name in it.

    I like The Basketball Krewe of New Orleans, New Orleans ArcAngels, New Orleans Brass, New Orleans VooDoo, and New Orleans Breakers. About in that order, really.

    Personally, of all the suggestions I've seen "Brass" is by far my favorite...

    I understand Bounce music and whatnot, but it would never work in association with a professional sports team. Bounce music is on a very small scale, and many fans have absolutely no clue what it is. "Its that crappy music where the guy yells stuff over and over right?"

    I have a few friends who have pretty much built their life around the bounce scene, but it is not big enough to be associated with a professional organization.
