My idea a while back was to drop the -ets and just have it be the Horns. I already call them that anyway.

Also, we can keep the trumpet logo. The honeybees can then be renamed the Hornettes. Lol.

100% straight-faced. The colors, the logo, the pre-New Orleans history means a lot to me. I don't mind a minor tweak, but a complete rebrand, to me, would be as painful as relocation.

I've stated on numerous occasions that I want the team to stay in New Orleans in the worst way. The city has been through enough without the NBA pulling up stakes yet again.

The rebrand movement is rooted in legit business, marketing, and cultural concerns. It's also been made a proxy war berween some and their own insecurities. It's hard to tell for both the spectators and 'combatants' how much of each is at work at any moment, but you can bet your bottom dollar that some of any thread on this comea from insecurity. Justified insecurity, but insecurity nonetheless.

I wish we could get "Jazz" back because that nickname is awesome. "Krewe" would be a good fit. I like "Crescent City", just not sure how that fits as a nickname.

Does the average person not in the area know that's the nickname for New Orleans? I doubt it.

I heard them call us the Crescent City a couple of times during the final four.
