My idea a while back was to drop the -ets and just have it be the Horns. I already call them that anyway.

Also, we can keep the trumpet logo. The honeybees can then be renamed the Hornettes. Lol.

From the sounds of it, a relocation wouldn't be painful for you at all

Just because you appreciate the history pre-New Orleans and have fallen in love with the Hornets doesn't mean you also don't have that same appreciation for New Orleans.

I've stated on numerous occasions that I want the team to stay in New Orleans in the worst way. The city has been through enough without the NBA pulling up stakes yet again.
Old fan. Tired fan. I want to believe.

True words. New Orleans gave my beloved Bees a home and have backed them despite the city's hardships.

The rebrand movement is rooted in legit business, marketing, and cultural concerns. It's also been made a proxy war berween some and their own insecurities. It's hard to tell for both the spectators and 'combatants' how much of each is at work at any moment, but you can bet your bottom dollar that some of any thread on this comea from insecurity. Justified insecurity, but insecurity nonetheless.

What a great read! The future looks bright.

I wish we could get "Jazz" back because that nickname is awesome. "Krewe" would be a good fit. I like "Crescent City", just not sure how that fits as a nickname.

I heard them call us the Crescent City a couple of times during the final four.
