The rebrand and name change thread

i have been very picky when it comes to names, but i actually wouldnt mind this one. Jazz and Brass are still 1a and 1b on my list though.

I was standing in line today at the Hornets season ticket both waiting to spin the prize wheel, and a season ticket rep started talking to the guy in front of me. The guy asked the rep what he thought about Benson owning the team and he said something like, "I like it but I can't really comment on it. But, I do know that he is going to rebrand the team." I guess this news is nothing we don't already know, but its cool to hear it come out of an employees mouth with a lot of confidence that it is going to happen.

I like it as well...Who cares if its an Arena Team....There are a few franchises in the major 3 that share the same name, and it doesn't seem to bother anyone.

I think "Soul" sounds good and does have good meaning for our region including the way we feel about our city & region as well as the musical background.....Great name......Although I like Brass......And I also wouldn't mind Crescent City Krewe.....New Orleans Soul has a very nice ring to it

I have a few suggestions for re-branding our Hornets. any of the following would be suitable and immediately recognizable as a New Orleans team: Decadence, Lagniappe, Crescents, Big Easy, Hurricanes, Knight-crawlers, Quarter Rats...

Hopefully these are not serious.
