I'm watching the all star "rising stars" game and this fool Kenny just said "The Charlotte Hornets are struggling down there" when he was referring to a Bobcats player. Just made me think this rebrand stuff may need to happen.
ETA: Are maybe it shows a rebrand won't change anything since Charlotte is still being referred to as the Hornets.
Tanking each year for unproven college players with the hope of becoming contenders in a few years

Rhythm is cool. Kewe is too. I thought of "Flavor". They could have shirts, unis, etc. that read NOLA Flavor. Be a bunch of god marketing synergies with food, beverage, local tourism bus.
I like Krewe and Brass. Flavor is a little off... Pun intended!!

I was joking before but for me it's Jazz or nothing, Hornets is as good as anything else probably better after seeing what other people suggest.
Oh my glob, some of these suggestions are horrible.
I'm just sick of all the Charlotte gear still being sold. Give us our own identity!

What I did here was I kept the purple/navy the team currently uses, lessened the bright gold for a subtle, richer one and opted for a slate green instead of a bright mardi gras green. The colors also pay homage to the slate green tiles that frame the outside of the arena and as a tie-in to the seating in the arena which share a similar palette.
Even though these would be the primary colors, the team could still get away with the MG uniforms they currently wear because the colors would change to the brighter richer shades. Pending the choice of name, I think this solves the problem of our uniforms and color scheme, each of which are unique in their own right as is our city and it's culture.

The New Orleans Flambeaus, Gamblers, Pirates, Acadians, Breakers, Pelicans, Dons, Dukes, Royals, Musketeers, Fleet, Armada, Rebels, Phantoms, Surge / Stormsurge, Bees(Bc the honeybee is out states insect), Swamp Dogs, Pilots / Riverboat Pilots, Jesters, Revelers, and Blues are some other names off the top of my head that I haven't seen listed that either have a connection to some historic or relevant part of our city or has been a team name of a team that once played here.

Flight isn't bad just not sure it fits.
Pretty nice Unis bigdub. I personally prefer NOLA across the front of the Road uniform. Also, I'm leery about that green (kinda sea-foamy) plus the new cosmetic upgrades to the arena could possibly include a new outside finish as well as new seat colors
