It would look the same as the Krewe's away. Both would say 'NOLA' instead of 'New Orleans'.

We had those discussions a while back. Some names that were thrown out there were Spirits, Revlers, Krewe, Gamblers, VooDoo, Arc Angles etc.

Both would be good to see a comparison, if its not too much effort though

Once the concept is done, the rest is just like a coloring book just picking and placing colors. If I used their bright gold then it would kinda' go against the look I was going with in the new design. In my original concept I had a much darker purple but when I used their current blueish purple, I thought it looked better so I opted for it instead. Having a decent amount of gold through out the design is what I really wanted to achieve in my design because I think that is a major factor lacking in their current uniforms. Having them in a gold alternate with gold in the neck and sleeve trim also down the jersey's sides in the scroll/panels, it would kind of muddle the look. Overkill! But I'll still post it for you.

I would have to go
1. Brass: I know about the hockey team, but the Charlotte Hornets were a WFL team from the 70's too.
2. Bucs or Buccaneers: A simple nod to a bygone era.
3. Spirits: Very ABA of us but could work.
4. Krewe: I would rather a "Krewe of New Orleans" like the ABA's "Spirit of St. Louis"
5. Gambler's: Yeah we haven't beaten that horse to death.

don't think the NBA would do another team with something to do with firearms.

Especially after the arenas incident in Washington, and the main reason the bullets were changed to the wizards was because of gun violence in DC.

I Just can't see a team with firearms in their name, but you never know.

I know it would be a stretch, and New Orleans isn't exactly a crime free zone, but I think the logo has some potential. Might just have to go with Buccaneers with Pistol as the pirate.
