    Hornets Looking To Trade Peja

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Hornets could remain aggressive. He tweeted Thursday morning that Hornets GM Dell Demps has discussed Peja Stojakovic with several teams. Stojakovic is on an expiring contract of $15.3 million this season.

Dell Demps has been aggressive as Hornets GM, determined to transform roster. He's discussed Peja with several teams, but nothing so far.

I love how we do all our trades on the same day. Demps likes to get everything done at once. I like it

    Hardly a suprise

    ACCORDING TO ADRIAN WOJNAROWSKI:

Chris Paul will be the Hornets starting PG!

Also, that's how octopi talk. They squibber. Yes, it's a word. Shut up.

I hope we do not trade him for a long term contract of a marginal player.

Where do you guys think hes going?

I'm not even sure who a possible target could be. Iggy and Dalembert are the only players I've seen in that price range that are both somewhat gettable and fit team needs. Maybe it would be multiple marginal players for Peja?

That's what I'm thinking, but if today's and our earlier summer trades tell us anything..you just never know.

yeah, would have been nice if he'd have at least taken an educated guess at who we were looking to get.

of course, I like hearing Demps is very active. With all the Carmelo talk out there and the likelihood that 3 or even 4 teams would need to be involved, we could end up being a facilitator and getting rid of a bad contract and picking up something useful in the deal apart from Carmelo.

My only problem with Iggy now is that he'd make Ariza redundant. They have pretty much the same skill set, just Iggy is a bit more explosive with a slightly better shot can facilitate offense, while Ariza is longer and is already pretty good on D.

I like the fact that Demps is being aggresive and trying to improve the roster. This is very exciting and beats the hell out of the old regime, when we never heard anything about trades or sigining.

I give Monty and Demps props for not standing pat, they are showing the fans and players that they will roll the dices and take and chances.

If reports are true that the Nets aren't willing to deal Favors, I would think we could make an extremely competitive offer for Carmelo. The Knicks can't even compete without a first rounder, we have first rounders, big expirings, and some pretty good young talent along with good veterans as well. I don't see a lot of teams that blow away Peja, Ariza, Thorton and a first round pick. Dare to dream though.

Would love to know what kind of packages are being discussed, if Demps can turn this expiring contract in a quality player, I stand corrected on what I said in the Philadelphia thread.

Son of a *****. I hope this isn't a set up move that unloads Thornton.

I get the Hornet and LSU love, but wouldn't want to deal Thorton for Carmello Anthony? Not that I think it will happen, but come on.

its not about wanting to deal thornton for melo..its about not wanting to trade thornton...and ariza...and first round picks for melo who isnt a great all around player imo
