Anybody else mad about the playoff scheduling?

Denver gets 2 primetime night games

NOLA gets a saturday noon game...same day as NFL draft and JAZZ FEST!!!
I will be suprised if we even sell out on Saturday

Then if game 6 is necessary its Friday...JAZZ FEST again

I remember the 76ers and Heat series a few years back that we didin't sell out because of Jazz Fest. Thing is the national media will never mention Jazz Fest, they will just say we don't support the team, we couldn't even sell out the playoff game..blah blah blah
Bringing it back to the bottom of the map!

Didn't this happen in 2004? To top all of that, I remember there being a Tulane-LSU baseball game being played next door in the Superdome.

I know, but it comes down to what I love more. I think I would get more enjoyment out of a full day at Jazz Fest. Honestly, if are down 0-2, which I don't we will be, but if. I think my tickets will be sold to the highest bidder and I will be jammming out to Big Sam, Wolfman, Galactic, and Wilco.

If roturn is thinking about skipping that does not look good for the average fan

The schedule is ridiculous. For the NBA to do that is a slap in the face, IMO. They must not have put any thought, what-so-ever into these circumstances.

How would you like the schedule to look? This is no one's fault but our own. Had we received home court this would not be an issue. We're now at the mercy of the league and the broadcast stations. There can only be so many days off between games.

I'd like to be able to be in 4 places at one time on that Saturday. Can the schedule makers help me there?

Yep. There are a lot of events happening in the city, as usual, we can't expect the NBA to work around all of these events. Just add this to the event list in the city. I'd be going. Enjoy having the problem of deciding which kick-*** event to go to. Many people around the country don't have the luxury of such choices. Some cities only have the choice of whether to do meth or alcohol, watch the dust fly or watch the rain fall, etc.

    Settle down, I am kidding.

    Time for some football!!!

Can't believe people would consider watching the NFL Draft over the Hornets Playoff game. It's a no briner if you ask me, Hornets Playoff game should come first - the draft happens every year and it's not like you miss anything by not watching at home or going to the Saints Draft Fest.

I can sort of understand Jazz Fest, but scheduling conflicts happen.

Actually the draft doesn't even coincide with the game. The draft doesn't start until 3pm central. Jazz Fest and the Zurich Classic will hamper the crowds more than the draft will.

Exactly. This is a good problem to have. Then again the Hornets could really suck and we wouldn't have this problem.

Personally I rather see the Hornets in the playoffs with the conflicts than have the Hornets miss the playoffs altogether.

This is why you have a stimulus package for the Hornets and the Saints. The state government has to pay them to stay here(ie: Socialism) when they're losing. But the Governor turns down stimulus money for the people.

I did notice I was able to get 12.00 tickets about 10 minutes ago. The Dallas series sold out on the presales last year, there were extremely limited tickets available for the general public.
