So I wonder if people here would be willing to resign Eric Gordon for $15 million a year since Barnes is getting $16 and others are getting a drastic pay increase because of the cap explosion.

Average starters will be getting paid $15 million per year. Time to get used to that guys
I was a pretty big Barnes fan when he came out of college and hoped in the past that we get him but to me he isn't a starter like I thought he would be. I would take Gordon over Barnes all day. Sure Barnes gives you a little versatility by being able to play 2-4 but I think the thought of having upside for Barnes is gone in my opinion. I think what Barnes has shown will be all that you really get out of him and that is less than Gordon. If Barnes played with more energy and more "motor" I think he would be a pretty good player but I think he has too much of an "even kill" of an attitude to take it to the next level as he gets older. Some player like Kwahi can be even kill and still be great. Just don't see that with Barnes. To me he is a poor mans Trevor Ariza with more weight and less shooting capabilities from deep.

Tristan Thompson, Cavaliers fail to reach agreement on contract
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13...ement-contractQuote:
The Cleveland Cavaliers and restricted free agent Tristan Thompson failed to come to a contract agreement prior to the team's media day on Monday.
The Cavs did not accept Thompson's most recent offer of a three-year maximum contract that his side put on the table last week.
It now seems likely Thompson will miss the start of practice Tuesday, but the sides are not framing the situation as a holdout at this point. Thompson has until Thursday to accept the Cavs' one-year qualifying offer of $6.9 million that would enable him to become an unrestricted free agent next summer.
Sources: Tristan Thompson is WILLING to sign a 3-year, $53 million deal with the Cavs. Cavs have not yet agreed to the deal.
