Do you guys think that I didn't want more picks in return? I seriously offered Jamison to just about everyone in the league except for those loaded at SF or PF and was shot down almost every time.

I like the idea of not being able to sign a person as a free agent for a season after a trade so for instance Coltsguy cant bid on Jamison again. Seems fair.
Keep in mind, Jamison can make that choice. I saw a few guys turn down huge offers this past offseason to go to another team that was offering like half as much.
But knowing you couldnt bid on him next year would probably make you think twice about trading expirings, don't you think? It was be a "penalty" of sorts and i think it's in the real NBA.
With all due respect, and I'm not trying to call you out in a bad way so sorry if it comes across like that, I'm still trying to figure out why you just woke up one morning and sold your whole team away. You got good pieces in return, but where did it come from all of a sudden?
No theres a rule where you cant trade a player, them cut him and him resign for a year. It's why Fisher couldnt resign with the Lakers up until a week ago.
No one would be getting cut.
Its not a cut:

In Fisher’s trade to the Houston Rockets last year, players who are traded and then waived by the receiving team must wait one year before resigning with their original club
Oh wait, Houston did cut him, my bad.
Came from not being able to get out of my conference for two years straight. And With Robinson's decline this year, my inability to find a PG during the offseason, and Mihm's lack of improvement. Last year was my chance and I didn't get it done. It was a hard decision, but I think it was the right one. I hope it was
Damn I actually did wanna work on getting Jamison back lol. Figured his value would lie in his bird years and to be able to sign him while being over the cap.
Hey I hope it was too, it just seemed sudden and out of nowhere. I was thinking it was something like a knee jerk reaction to one bad sim, but it sounds more like it was the last chance.
Tanking is a problem because theres not much incentive for teams to win games or make the playoffs. even with the new changes in the points system, the 25 points that you'll get for winning the championship can easily be gotten by a very good rebounding center/pf throughout the season. im too tired to compute but i bet shaq, zo and duncan mustve gotten more than 25 points during this season.
how about we lessen the individual points for the individual achievements(20+ rebounds, 40 points, etc) and give more points to team achievements(winning streak, making the playoffs). and then putting better items on the league shop, like "Negotiate contract extension"
One more thing, I think we should make those players signed to 1 year deals as untradeable, with the way things are going with the resigning/free agency, anyone can just sign 1 year deals and still preserve their cap space for the next year.
About the teams that are tanking, how about reducing the position of their draft pick by a couple of places as penalty?
