why is jamal sampson, the 29th pick in the first round, paid 1.6m his first year? the 1st pick Yao Ming is only earning 1.2m more(2.8m)

last year's 29th pick, kedrick brown, is only earning 662k now on the second year of his rookie contract

I haven't gone through and edited the salaries yet.
