Does the Chandler trade really make things more flexible?
no, it doesn't
and if anybody wants to explain to me how it does, i'm waiting
we are still goin to be above the cap until the end of 2011 (or until we deal peja for expiring deals), and even then we'll be up against the cap and won't be able to sign a max player
we've lost salary to make trades (which limits our flexibility). you need salary to trade for salary in the nba
so please, somebody tell me how this makes things more flexible. if you want to call it shinn not spending money and being cheap? fine. agreed. that's life.
but please explain how this makes things more FLEXIBLE for the hornets
for the record
the year when we may finally be under the salary cap is the year when chandler's deal would run out anyway, after 2011
so once again...no cap relief. no added flexibility (the opposite, actually)
