What Shinn and the Hornets under-estimate is the resolve of New Orleanians in looking out for the hometown and bringing the city back.
This is what happens when you talk out of two sides of your mouth. It's ashame it went this way. Shinn should have just negotiated a guaranteed 2nd year from OKC if the Hornets exercised the option to return. Then he should have sold this purely as OKC's audition for big-league sports. He never should have changed the name of the team, thus infuriating the New Orleans base. Well, he did what he did and now he has to lie in the sh*t that has been created.
