Yes but I hope not

DJ Stephens can touch the top of the backboard.
Jimmer needs to make better than 2-7 and 1-4 from 4 to enter rotation.
Pelicans 7 straight losses to Mavs. Hope this trend doesn't continue.
Sounded like all the starters were kind of just lunching jumpers, presumably to avoid injury.
PELICANS WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mavericks 85 - 88 Pelicans Final
4 straight pre-seasons wins against castrated teams. But?
The only thing worse than NBA preseason is NFL preseason but only because NFL are full price tickets and NBA are discounted or free. Let the games begin!!!
our starters are shooting poorly
I think the startes weren't playing serious Reke shot 4 3's and Jrue barely touched the ball.
Ok someone who watched the game help bring me back from the ledge. Because based on the stat line we struggled against the Mavericks scrubs and our starters - outside of Davis - looked like **** and our bench seems to be getting worse from game to game.
Plus I thought we were gonna be resting our starters?
He did have 7 points on 7 shots. Not great but not terrible. Does anyone have his pre season stats handy? I know he has't played great the last couple of games but there really wasn't anyway for him to stay as hot as he had been.
Oh and no, I don't think Jimmer should start over Tyreke.
It's not useless if you're a proven NBA player who put up 20/5/5 when playing 35+ a night and played less since. When starting last year towards the end Reke again was putting up similar numbers.
It's only useless when you dont know how to utilize that stat. For Jimmer it would be useless. Same for Rivers. There's nothing stopping Reke from putting up 18/7/5 if healthy and with shooters around him. He'll also get better looks at the rim with Jrue/Ryno out there and the attention AD draws.

I used to live in New Orleans.
I watched Jeff all through his time at KU, and I'm really pulling for him to stick somewhere in the NBA. Unfortunately, I think he is what he is as a basketball player at this point, and I'm not sold that he'll ever be a contributor for the Pelicans.
But they are not talking about a bench player. They are talking about a guy who has averaged over 33 minutes per game for his career. So to quote per36 stats on a player like that isn't unreasonable or "not reality".
It's all about how per36 is being used. If the argument was talking a guy who gets 10mpg and projecting per36 then yeah that's where most of us start to disagree or trash per36.
