so is this the 2nd time we're watching him work out this week?

In addition to Hawks, I'm told Spurs and Pelicans also have representatives at Greg Oden's latest workout audition in Indianapolis

What happened to this being in Vegas?

I thought I read he was working out for the Hawks on Thursday and then going to Vegas for the long anticipated meeting with the Pelicans.

What happened today was extra, the meeting is still planned for tomorrow or saturday.

I agree if it was just money then yes but I think it will be a combination of money/surrounding talent/willingness to be patient with him.

I think we have a good chance honestly. We will be competitive for longer than the heat they have maybe 2 more years tops left of riding the south beach trio. We have a great medical staff. We can also offer him a decent amount of money; more than the heat and spurs at least.

Atlanta is too far away from being deep playoff contender in my opinion . They need Schroeder and fro-guera to pan out.

Just because Atlanta can afford to give him more doesn't mean they will....he's as big a risk as there is

On a side note, Goose looks to be available. Loved that guy in 11-12. Very high BBIQ player, would be a tremendous rotation C. If I'm being honest with myself, I would like that nearly as much as Oden.
