N/P: Steve Kerr

I didn't realize folks were talking about Kerr potentially never coaching again. Damn.
If this team carries Mike Brown to a championship, what will that say about the value of coaching in the NBA? Or better, what will that say about Mike Brown?! He's averaged nearly 50 wins a season as a head coach (I don't count his ridiculous firing in LA after 5 games), but hasn't gotten any credit because he did it with LeBron and Kobe. Will winning a championship suddenly make Brown a really good coach, or will it validate that players win championships if coaches don't get in the way!?

It goes both ways. Players make coaches but the best coaches make players. Kerr is surrounded by talent but what he did in his first year deserves a lot of credit too. He set the culture of the organization.
