Translation: 1 month
And in 2 weeks they'll come out and say it's really a fracture and not a reaction.
I hope it isn't a stress fracture. That would suck for us. As is, I am in no hurry to get him back. Take our lumps, and let these guys grow as is. No need to make any moves to get better as we aren't in that phase of the rebuild.
Good things come to those who wait, I guess.
My research says 8-16 weeks typical time to return depending on location in ankle, severity, and how it responds to the accomodation.
Tarter Sauce :(
Where is Hakim Warrick when you need him? Hope the $500,000.00 saved doesn't come back to haunt us. Wow!!
But I want him to win ROY :(
with this setback, one question might be centered around the return timing of Davis and/or Gordon....and with the G name being mentioned, has anyone picked up anything worthwhile on his rehab progress (or lack thereof)?
this scares me...we dont need another injury prone guy
Jesus, that is a horrible thumbnail.
Also, gotta love how everyone is taking the two weeks. Dude could be back by next Monday.
Sources tell me he has demanded a trade and is just using the injury as a front.
Should have drafted andre durmmound then traded up for lillard
LOL just kidding
The dog is just brilliant.
Lots of ignorance on display here.
The injuries just keep coming. I hope the can get healthy one day, so Monty and Dell can show what their team can do.
Let's just be safe with this one. Stress anything worries me, but stress reaction is a lot better than stress fracture, and can heal with proper care. No need to rush this.
this is actually his first real injury during the season....dude got an accidental elbow to the temple....hardly his fault. He'll be ok. I think they are gonna take their sweet time letting him recover rather than let him back on the court ASAP like they do for Rivers because honestly (and this is coming from someone who thinks Rivers will be a beast eventually) Davis is most important player on this team....plus although we do see the drop off when he's not on the floor....they are much deeper at the frontcourt than backcourt.
So yeah I say let him heal as much as possible. This is the official Growing Pains year....take the lumps now...let these Rookies and new young guys get a year under Monty's system...keep adding pieces and we'll be where we want to be. No need to rush anything at this point.
He needs to bulk up more. The trainers need to make him drink a lot of protein drinks.
Anyway to take the breaking news tag off of this?
He'll get stronger as time goes on, so injuries won't happen as much.
I have no expectations based on specific knowledge.
I expect 8-16 weeks based on broad research. How soon it is depends on stuff I don't think any of us know. I'm just exposing the research for consideration, and essentially saying that 8 weeks is in the cards, so don't gobble down the 2 weeks hook, line, and sinker.
A cornea scratch, for instance, takes a day to two to work itself out. Smith played 48 hours after getting one. So that bore out. Maybe he would have sat an additional day. Just presenting the same sort of info about an injury that we know very little about.
I just want to see this team at full force for one game. one and I will be happy.
I reckon 2 weeks will be Satday.
He said don't expect to see him this week.
Today makes 2 weeks since he played his last game. I predict we'll see him some time next week. Or maybe not. Maybe our FO is doing what the Warrior's FO was doing with Bogut.
