Other thread too long?
Easier for the powers that be that never introduce themselves to sort through all the posts if it's all broken up into seperate threads?
Or...the subject matter slid into something less than SFW. Either way. No mattering.
Part 1 went like 35 pages and part 2 went 31. I figured it would be easier for you guys to not have to weed through so many pages.
Much obliged.
Leave it to a woman. :)
Arcangels!
Anything but something with Spirit or the word Angels in it...
I'm still with Krewe. The Krewe of New Orleans. I don't get how anybody can hate this. Angels is growing on me but it's not original. Knights and Spirit are dull and absolutely terrible.
I challenged a couple other posters with this question who bring up the "dull name" argument (they didn't answer), but I'll ask you: what's so originally New Orleans and exciting about the name "Saints"? Remove any cultural connection with the football team. What's exciting about that name?
Revelers
Rabble rabble rabble.
I don't mind the new thread, but would have been nice to get a few more comments on the ESPN release before starting the new thread.
So with that in mind, the Dukes ESPN version looked pretty good.
Arcangels.....
I don't like Krewe. Why? Minor league version of Mardi Gras. A better Mardi Gras fit would be Carnival. New Orleans Carnival sounds and looks better than New Orleans Krewe.
Why not Brass? Probably same issue as Krewe. Just a minor league version of Jazz. Jazz would be the best fit.
VooDoo would be a great fit, but it's being used for now.
Unfortunately, with the best fits not available, outside of Carnival, something creative will have to be done.
Brass WAS actually a minor league team. Minor League Hockey. And that is just piggybacking off Jazz. VooDoo is cool but being used. Carnival just makes me think of the Circus for some reason, although I get your point that it is a bigger concept of Mardi Gras. But Krewe has that sort of name that matches New Orleans and describes a group of people...a group of players, our team. The Krewe of New Orleans. But I also like it because of the possibility of an alternate jersey or merchandising opportunity with Crescent City Krewe just because I think that name flows so beautifully. These are just my thoughts...
I just designed a uniform for the New Orleans Phantoms. I've only finished the primary logo, so I'll show that to you guys.

not nearly as good as Dub's but I like the font and color design.
