We are talking about the 10th overall pick. Everyone should agree there is going to be a transition period for Rivers, but he doesn't get the luxury of not showing us something until year 3.

I would agree normally, but the team wants him to be a PG where he's been a scorer his whole career. There were guys drafted behind him who are alot more ready, but they wouldn't start on this team long-term. This team needed a SF and PG and they felt he was the best available out of those two positions. He definitely wasn't the best player available in general, just out of those two positions. He's got a long way to go to be a productive starting PG, especially when he can't shoot at all. Who can he expect to play off of Gordon when he can't shoot.
Getting blown out after 5 days of practice cant feel good. Not even is a meaningless game. Then again, the Saints sucked in pre-season when they hit the reset button in '06, look how that turned out. :D
Maaan. We getting it poured on us tonight. Aweful.
Next game Monday @ Dallas.
Open practice Saturday.
Game ends with Roberts, Wright, Miller, Alabi, and Warrick on the floor.
so we scored 26 points in the 2nd half... equals what we did in the 1st qtr alone... and what the Hawks did in the 3rd qtr alone
Looks like it'll be us and the Pistons getting thrashed tonite.
Hopefully next game is televised. Dallas schedule says its televised on KTXA. Hope that means NBALP
Houston and Miami will be televised as well.
good game, good effort
We're looking like a Jump shooting team. We're going to have hot and cold stretches. Good thing, Gordon has the ability to slash and score around the basket at a good rate. Rivers is learning that it's hard to score in the post at the NBA level. His struggles in preseason thus far has been finishing around the basket. He's going have to adapt fast to contribute.
Thanks for the updates guys.
That 3rd quarter--holy schnikes! If they are going to have stretches like that, I hope they get it out of their systems in the preseason.
