I've always like New Orleans Voodoo. So much you can do with that name.
Thought it does kinda sound name when you talk about 'The Voodoo' like you would 'The Heat' for instance.

Did we already discuss why it's written as ARC - angels? and not ARCH - angels...
I have been following the rebrand thread off-and-on so I don't know. Also, I'm not
saying I even like the name as a mascot (I prefer the Krewe or Brass or Pelicans)
Anyway, I though ARC referred to the length of a curved boundary (as in geometry) or a town in France (as in Joan of Arc) whereas ARCH comes from the Greek root ARKHE meaning "beginning," or "foundation."
Arc like 3pt arc, arc of a ball in flight, and arc like crescent in crescent city, while a homophone of the arch you mention.
