bower? really? way to fire a coach WITH NO PLAN OF ACTION!
DUMB DUMB DUMB
General manager Jeff Bower will assume coaching duties, according to a league source. Bower is a one-time Hornets assistant, but has never been a head coach in the NBA.

Harvey, a lot of what you've said have been spot-on but I'm praying that you're wrong with the Floyd business.
Does Bowser even have any coaching experience?
Relax guys...Bower would just be an interim coach until they can find the right guy (hopefully a young assistant with some fire) in the offseason. The way I see it even if it's Bower I'd rather get rid of Scott now than wait until the offseason. At least this way we can send a message that this team needs major changes and those start right now. Plus for all we know Bower could be a good coach who knows?
That makes two of us.Quote:

Yeah, it is going to get worse HH! But at least we cut bait with this coach, he was absolutely clueless! You could see it in his face last night!

A league source told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that the Hornets will name general Jeff Bower as Scott's replacement and hire veteran coach Tim Floyd as his top assistant.
can we get JVG to coach next time he broadcasts a game?
I think Bower gets to ride the ship the rest of the way down and this cements his eventual departure. Byron being dismissed this early will only expose the other areas of the orgnaization that are lacking. Now Bower gets to share the scapegoat role.Quote:

It is definitely going to get worse before it gets better, but I think we had taken the current cast of characters as far as they can go. Time to clean house and build it back up with different guys.
This is one time I'm sorry.....VERY SORRY...to be right.
Love the ESPN typo referring to Bower as a "general" :hihi:

Floyd. Atleast he'll put some passion into this team.
I can't wait for that Portland game and how this team responds to all of this.
I come here and see sooooooooo many people on board and I'm like ... 'wait, something is going on, too many people on right now'. And I come and find this. Wow. :hihi:
I don't understand all this doom and gloom. As I see it we're on the road to 25-30 wins which is right where I wanted us to be. Hopefully HH is right again and Bower is gone after the season giving way to a young assistant coach from elsewhere taking over. This gives us the opportunity to start fresh with new management and hopefully new scouting and a lottery pick (maybe even top 3). I'm thrilled...I guess I just wasn't expecting them to salvage this season but I don't understand why people are upset.
I had the same view point.. I guess I picked a good season to get married and buy a house.. I'll be able to get club seats not when ever I want them for about 10 bucks now.. Woohoo for me I guess :crytear:Quote:

Floyd is not respected in the NBA. What kind of passion are you looking for? If it's positive, that won't be the case.Quote:

Also he can't be much worse than our current assistants right?Quote:

Oh boy....
lol same here i step away for ten minutes and I see 400 somethign members on. I'm like oh no who just got traded, fired, etc.Quote:

But we now have a scapegoat as the reason to ship players off, make trades.....we are in for a DISASTER of a season, but it gives us the chance to fix everything in 2 years....We needed this even if this season will result in less than 30 wins...im fine with that.
Right now I think I could put a better staff of assistants together from this site.
And the same one who made BD and Magloire stretch out on the street because they bought their own people to stretch them. :hihi:Quote:

Maybe he can illegally recruit O.J. Mayo to the Hornets.
