why would you sign a soft big man to a 2 year guaranteed deal?
We've had plenty of tough bigs that can't really play worth squat. Maybe he's a taller, much, much thinner Pau Ga...
Christ, I can't even finish that sentence. Maybe we're beggers so we're all out of choices?
He was a part of the French team that won the European Championship if I'm not mistaken !
My thoughts exactly. We probably arent going to find a home run deal for a big (not many available on the trade market except for asset crushing deals). There really isn't any harm in bringing a wild card; he won't have to do much with the players we have surrounding him (once we get AD back and Ryno back on the bench).
Amazing how guys jump on the bandwagon for garbage players!
Lol, the only thing this kid will bring, is 6 fouls!
Two years guaranteed for the league minimum...is that normal?
What does it mean?!?!
Coaches are there to make young players better. Get the young, 7'1" player and coach him.
Honestly I wish we would test Withey out more. I don't mind this signing don't get me wrong but I just want to see our talent.
This is a good move, not because he is going to be some all world player, but this is a good move because of what this allows us to do.
Ayon wasn't a good big man, hell he was avg. at best. What he allowed us to do was move him in a trade. He helped match salaries with other players, and since has been used as currency 3 times. I imagine we will make a move some time soon, and his helpful contract will come in handy in that trade.
Get Stemer off the team. Hopefully he won't burn out again.
Interested to see what Ajinca can give New Orleans. Friends in France keep telling me he's not the same guy we last saw in the NBA
