Lol. That last spat for sure had war room fatigue written all over it. It's better if you picture the board looking like 12 Angry Men....the black and white version. We all get up and try to win Mythrol over with our debates.
But really we all look like that Charlie Day mailroom meme.

Pelicans make the most sense for Dennis Schroeder via trade with Hawks
Schroeder is still fairly young and can get to the rim with the best of them. However, it’s unclear how much value he actually provides to a team as analytics have painted a net negative every single year of his career

I hate feeling like we're done until the season is a month or two in. But that's how it feels.
Teams who won't be that good are probably clinging to the notion that they might have a chance. Especially ones in the East now that LeBron is gone.
Otherwise, we might be able to pry someone good off the Hornets, Heat, or Hawks.
Lotta H's.
Can something just happen?
Lol
Yeah. If the season goes the way we all think it will, a lot of teams will start an early rebuild to try to wait out the current superteams. If enough teams fold, another super team could be formed from the scraps. AD is just as good as anyone to make the new super team.
We have this month realistically to make a move. Otherwise, trade deadline.

Would they take Solo?
Free agent Kyle O'Quinn has agreed to a one-year, $4.5M deal with the Indiana Pacers, league sources tell Yahoo.

Well the way I read it, and I could be wrong...
"The Kings will instead focus on the trade market and pursue absorbing contracts in exchange for a first round pick in 2019 or a veteran small forward."
This looks like they will take on a bad contract attached to a 1st, OR a SF. So... Solo would BE the contract they'd take on. Or hell, why not give them Ajinca and Solo?
There's your expiring attached to a veteran SF.
ESPN Sources with @royceyoung: Oklahoma City, Carmelo Anthony will part ways this summer, likely saving team over $100M. Thunder working with 'Melo's reps on exits that include trade, stretch provision. Story: https://t.co/mJbxINv2Cd

I hate the media. I really really hate the media.
Is Melo completely washed? The games I watched of him last year say he is washed, but I don't trust myself to make that call.
Was it just the system? Anyone who watched him last year, can you shed some light on what went wrong?
Either way, they were a lot better with him off the court.
He's washed.
Part of the reason almost everyone looks worse on the Thunder is Russell Westbrook. He takes a ton of possessions, you get less shots, and the shots you do get are often worse (two seconds on the clock cause Russ wants the assist kind of thing). But Melo was worse for other reasons. His defense has been awful for years, he actually had a -1.1 VORP last year, and he's a black hole on offense. I'm talking 6.5% assist rate last year (AD, who himself is not exactly a playmaker extraordinaire, had an 11% assist rate for comparison).
He's just done
What are you talking about? AD's on the way out. He's only 25, locked up for years, can sign the largest contract in NBA history, has always expressed a desire to stay and to win here, has always displayed patience and understanding towards the franchise, has constantly rebuffed trade rumours from the past, and the city loves him.
That means that he's about to leave. Obvs.
If you say we should look at Melo... I will hunt you down!!!!
@TheSteinLine: The Hornets appear to be signing Tony Parker ... according to Hornets and France forward Nic Batum https://t.co/tO9NpF91IJ

Kemba must be gone
Tony Parker has agreed to a two-year, $10M deal with Charlotte, league source tells ESPN
— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 6, 2018
Wow...
Source: Parker called Gregg Popovich in the last hour to inform him of decision to accept Charlotte offer. Spurs wanted Parker back, but Parker will take on a significant role with Hornets behind Kemba Walker. https://t.co/qjNzJqN2v0

"behind kemba walker"
I am not sure he is worth $5 million a year any more. Jordan overpaying.
Brooklyn finalized buyout with Dwight Howard, clearing way for him to sign 2-year, $11M deal with Washington, league sources tell ESPN. Deal includes player option.

11 mil for 2 years sounds good.

Dame may want out of Portland, although he wants to go to LA:eek:
RFA Zach LaVine has agreed to a four-year, $80M offer sheet with the Sacramento Kings, league sources tell Yahoo. The Chicago Bulls have 48 hours to match.

well damn
San Antonio Spurs restricted free agent Kyle Anderson has signed a four-year, $37.2 million offer sheet with the Memphis Grizzlies, league sources told ESPN.

You basically just described Rondo when talking about both players. But he had good BBal IQ and leadership. Anyways I wouldn’t mind Melo because that team was a bad fit for him. He would still be an upgrade here but I would rather us pursue some of the other options I’m sure we are after. I don’t see anyway Melo comes here anyway when there will be a spot for him on the Rockets and Lakers. If I was gonna bet on where he lands it’s the Lakers because of his friendship with LeBron and his wife who loves her some Hollywood.
Me 2!! What I hate is they even bring this crap up planting a little seed in his head. Players are human and when things go wrong where they face a little adversity they start thinking how good it could be in LA or wherever. I think AD wants that $ first and will worry about going to a team to win near the end of his next deal with likes 2 years left. AD is still very young and can set himself up for life while still be plenty young enough to ring chase if he can’t get it done. I really think we have a nice window to build our team and be in a great position to win big in 2 years. If we can’t satisfy AD as he enters the last years of his next deal then I don’t blame him for wanting to leave. We will be in a position to make a nice trade that works for both parties.
Would love to do a sign-and-trade for David Nwaba.
Damian Lillard instantly makes this team the 2nd best in the NBA. A backcourt with Lillard and Jrue would be incredible!! I doubt it’s possible but I would be moving anyone and everyone not named AD/Jrue to try and get him. Maybe some 3rd teams to get as many draft picks as possible to throw at them. I just don’t see us being able to offer close to what teams like the Lakers and many others could. I’m really hoping the Lakers don’t get him cause they would vault to another level. Interesting he wants to play with AD which actually gives us a ******** at him when he hits FA.
