Will be interesting to see if this team can recapture some magic when they are healthy. Frankly the return of Payton has been all I’ve been able to hold onto...if it fails to provide a spark I think this season is done for.

That's why I put my tentative cut-off date to decide if the season is doomed or not on the 7th. I knew by then Payton and Randle should be back, and we'll have had a few games with everyone back to make a serious evaluation.

I thought it would take Payton a month or two to settle in to start the season but he came out all guns blazing. I thought it would take a few weeks to get back from the first injury, fully, but he was doing well before the finger broke. So I'm just going to expect the moon, this time.

My thing is that the rest of the West is playing well. So that sucks. This is a bad conference to be playing catchup in.
