Makes sense, totally worth it.
Don't think this is cap related so good for them to spend Benson's money.
It's semantics, but a loss is a negative. This was a trade. And frankly, $800K for a first round player is a net gain.
(Would also change my current situation completely on its tail.)
If you break it all down the final tally on the maneuvering is:
Pels trade Tim Frazier, the #40 pick, and $800,000 for the #31 pick and $2 million in cap room.
Wait, I thought the Jackson pick happened in the 2nd round. How is he a first rounder?
The Thunder were talking about getting him with the 21st pick. And most people had him rated as a late 1st rounder. Besides. We traded to the top of the 2nd round. Far as I'm concerned, that's where the guys who slide thanks to teams reaching for someone fall.
Oh, okay. I thought he was a first rounder, but he was a second rounder.
