Carmello trade rumors are heating up
-
They would be smart to trade him he will not return but that can't get much back for him
-
I thought one would've involved us...
-
None of those are anything more than the authors speculating.
-
They should definitely trade him, he isn't staying in NY.

Yep. Speculation= Rumors. That what is done here on the net. I'm wondering when Dell Demps is going to pull the trigger on some trades? Any ideas Guru?

Melo is going to play in only one of 2 cities, NY or LA. The Knicks would never trade him to the Nets and the Lakers have no reason to trade assets for him as they will have the cap space to sign him. That means the only potential trade would be sending him to the Clippers. Maybe you can get a team like Dallas involved and Cuban can let Lala host Shark Tank, but it really only seems like the Clippers are a viable trade destination.

At this point in the season, I'd take him.
Melo + Davis would be entertaining IMO.
I am not a fan of the tank, btw.

It wouldn't be fun watching Melo chuck up shots all game... taking shots away from AD and others. But I would like to see his 30 mill or whatever come off our books in the summer, because we won't be resigning him if he does get traded to NO (which ain't happenin BTW).

This is why I would be so happy to trade for him.

At least we'd know where the offense was coming from in the clutch. Playing through Melo bring more stability than the clustercoitus of our offense now. Besides, he can't take every shot.
Though not for lack of effort...

Ha! Yeah... he does have to come out of the game for a few minutes, so no he can't possibly take them all. He's a good player though, and NY has to know that he won't be re-signing there especially with the direction the organization is going.
-
I thought we had an "official" trade rumor thread?
-
Melo isn't leaving NY and he isn't leaving all that money on the table. Melo craves the attention and spotlight. The last place he'd come to is New Orleans.

Pretty sure he'd put Milwaukee, Charlotte, Phoenix, Orlando, and Memphis a lil' higher before us.
But then, we're just a backwood city no one's ever heard of and all...
-
Keep an eye on the Clippers

Strong denial much like Lebron says he was not leaving Cleveland.
-
Now that is a move I can see coming totally.

If he's traded, he doesn't really have a choice. The theory is that he'll bolt NY because of their incompetence (and, presumably, the Lakers' cap room) and they may want to trade him now to get something for him. Obviously he's not signing here as a free agent.
-
Would people actually want Melo here? He's just a volume shooter.
I'd be super against that.

He means as a FA.

Giving up griffin is the whole rumor though lol

Melo would instantly pack the arena each night. I rather see Melo chucking up shots instead of Brian Roberts.

Either way. A trade could clear up some space to sign him in the offseason. Do the Clips really need Barnes? They(Clips) could move Jordan too. Get more teams involved in trade.
Lakers may move Gasol too.

For half a season? Hell yeah! Cap space next summer! =)
